Estimating the pressure on various parts of dams’ foundation and controlling the seepage and uplift force are one of the most important issues in designing of dams. In this research, the hydraulic behavior of cut-off with different penetration depths for two types of soil layering and three conductivity coefficients was studied experimentally. Seepage and piezometric pressure were measured at 28 points of physical model. Then, the water flow was simulated by Seep/W software in the same soil conditions and the values of seepage and pressure were estimated. Average relative errors for discharge and hydrostatic pressure estimation were obtained 0.28% and 1.4%, respectively, that shows good agreement between numerical and experimental results.
